- I ran this program called PortInfo and at first it said that the 16550 UART
- was actually an emulation chip, E16550. But I thought that the Accura had a
- real 16550 UART in it. But if I ran the program again, it couldn't detect the
- COM port I installed my modem (COM2) on because of a port conflict and the
- UART becomes a 16550A. If I cold booted my computer, the same thing happens
- again, detects COM port and then it can't. This happens with both my 2400 and
- 28800bps modem. I also removed the modem and put in a high speed serial card
- with a 16550 UART and PortInfo could detect COM2 more than twice. But I know
- if I try to put in both my serial card and Accura 288B, PortInfo will not
- detect the modem. Any answers to this problem?
